Description
This unisex, size inclusive, top down, pullover is written for a cropped short sleeve version as well as a full-body long sleeve version. The striping pattern makes it fun and “potato-chippy” to knit as you can’t wait to get to the next color change. With options for a provisional start or a neckband, to customize your favorite fit. Choose four of your favorite colors for stripes or a gradient of the same color in different shades for a more monochromatic look.
PATTERN NOTES: This sweater is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down. You cast on at the neckline and the yoke is shaped by raglan increases to the underarm. Sleeve sts are placed on hold on waste yarn, the body is completed, then sleeves are worked last.
What is yarn dominance? When you knit colorwork, the stitches sit a little differently than in regular stockinette. When you go from knitting one stitch in the MC to one in the CC, they don’t sit as perfectly as they might if they were done in the same color. For some knitters, the difference is glaring, while others hardly notice it at all. In this pattern, I used a larger needle for each “lice” row (K1MC, K1CC) to allow the light color blip to really pop. I highly recommend this but it’s certainly not mandatory.
