Never underestimate the importance of having fun. – Randy Pausch, American professor of computer science, human-computer interaction and design; The Last Lecture
When I was growing up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, there was a small children’s amusement park just down the road from my house and it was called Lollipop Park. The miniature steam locomotive and 1,200 feet of track wound their way through the park, neatly manicured and accented with zinnias and petunias. The boat ride, bumper cars and helicopters thrilled all the neighborhood children. It closed in 1973, but I still have such fond memories of the excitement of those memories.
PATTERN NOTES:
A collaboration with Fiber MacGyver using stranded colorwork in 2 colors that provides a lovely graphic look. This is a great piece for using up small sport weight scraps. The colorwork pattern is charted and worked from the bottom up. Feel free to mix and match your colors to suit your preferences. Check out the test knitter’s projects on Ravelry for color inspiration.
